West Grove, PA – February 11, 2008: Hugh Lofting Timber Framing, Inc. is excited to announce the launch of its EcoCollection of passive solar home designs. Each home is designed to meet the stringent requirements of the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Homes criteria and features timber framing in all or part of the construction. Currently the collection features four designs created by Matthew Moger of Lyman Perry Architects and Townsend Moore of Tick Hill Studios. The collection is planned to expand to twelve designs in total.
Hugh Lofting Timber Framing, Inc has long encouraged clients to use sustainable technologies and materials in their buildings. “Many clients come to us looking for ways to build green but don’t know where to start. With this collection we offer a pre-designed home that can be built sustainably and at an affordable price.” says Hugh Lofting, President.
Recent projects that incorporate sustainable techniques include: the new Dansko facility, the Big Cat Falls Pavilion at The Philadelphia Zoo, the O’Neill Boathouse, the Topel Residence, the Drobish Barn and the Bonsai house.
